The Nebraska Volleyball Academy and the Kearney Park and Recreation Department have team-up to offer an innovative youth volleyball program called Train, Play & Compete Volleyball. This program is built on a proven methodology created by former University of Iowa coach, Ruth Nelson. Fun, skill development and game readiness will be the focus of the program, led by certified, experienced and trained coaches. Each practice will conclude with game play, contests or competitions. Train, Play & Compete Volleyball is for kids in 1st-6th grades, and will be held on Tuesdays, from 6:15-7:30pm, March 31-April 28, at the Kearney SportsPlex. Players will be divided by grades on multiple courts The program fee is $75 and includes a shirt. The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 17.
